uCoz is a project that helps anyone who wishes to create his/her own Website. An existing site can be made more rich and interesting by expanding it with new capabilities in a very simple way. It emerged from the internet platform tiles.ice.org, a site where people collaborated on patchwork paintings in earlier days of the internet. Notably drawing inspiration from Gridcosm, a similar and ongoing project, the Zoomquilt aimed to create a more seamless and immersive experience. It soon became an internet notorious, won a FWA site of the month and was featured on MTV.
